PHILADELPHIA –– A Philadelphia jury has reached a defense verdict in a benzene case, rejecting claims asserted on behalf of a former mechanic whose alleged exposure to benzene in gasoline caused him to develop Acute Myeloid Leukemia, HarrisMartin is reporting.

The Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County jury reached the unanimous verdict on Aug. 8 after two hours of deliberations, sources told HarrisMartin. Judge Rosalyn Robinson presided over the trial.

The plaintiffs asserted the claims on behalf of David Butler, contending that he developed AML as a result of exposure to benzene in gasoline products. According to the …
