Sunoco Moves for Summary Judgment in Benzene Suit, Challenges Product Identification

PHILADELPHIA –– Sunoco has moved for summary judgment in a Pennsylvania benzene case, contending that the plaintiffs have failed to identify its benzene-containing solvents as those that were allegedly incorporated into products used by the plaintiff.
In the May 30 motion filed in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, Sunoco further maintained that, in reports filed by the plaintiffs’ experts, there isn’t one reference to any exposure to a Sunoco benzene-containing solvent.
