Philadelphia Benzene Case Involving AML Claims Settles Prior to Trial

PHILADELPHIA –– The remaining parties in a benzene case filed in Pennsylvania state court reached a settlement agreement just weeks before a scheduled trial, according to a trial worksheet entered by the court.

The Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas issued the worksheet just ahead of the scheduled April 21 trial, noting that the case had been “settled among all parties before assignment for trial.”

Jeanne Gans brought the lawsuit on behalf of George Gans, who was allegedly exposed to benzene while working as a steamfitter at J.J. White Inc. As a result of his employment, Gans performed work at refineries …
