MILWAUKEE –– A Wisconsin federal court has rejected efforts to exclude two reports Akzo Nobel Paints contended were “routinely relied” upon by benzene plaintiffs asserting AML claims, finding that the motion was a “poorly-disguised attempt to re-litigate the admissibility” of an expert.
In the June 10 decision and order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin also noted that while trial a two-week trial is currently scheduled to begin Aug. 11, the court now has a conflict on Aug. 21-22.
