Akzo Nobel Paints Seeks to Preclude Reliance on 2 Studies ‘Routinely Used’ in AML Benzene Cases

MILWAUKEE –– Akzo Nobel Paints LLC has filed two motions in limine, seeking to preserve its challenges to the admissibility of two expert witnesses, despite the fact that the 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has held that the expert testimony is admissible.

In its May 19 motions filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Akzo also asked the court to exclude two reports “routinely relied” upon by benzene plaintiffs asserting AML claims.
