La. Federal Court Grants Voluntary Motion to Dismiss Benzene Claims Against Defendant That Recently Moved for Summary Judgment

NEW ORLEANS –– Benzene plaintiffs with claims pending in a Louisiana federal court have dismissed their case against EOG Resources Inc., a defendant that had recently moved for summary judgment on grounds that it never employed the plaintiffs as alleged in the complaint.

On May 21, the plaintiffs moved to dismiss the claims against EOG Resources with prejudice. The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana entered an order granting the motion on May 22.
