Benzene Defendant Moves for Summary Judgment, Says Plaintiff Never Worked on its Vessels

NEW ORLEANS –– A defendant named in a benzene action has moved for summary judgment as to all claims, arguing that it never employed the plaintiff as alleged in the complaint.

In its April 10 motion, defendant EOG Resources Inc. said the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana should additionally dismiss the claims because the defendant did not use the type of semi-submersible vessels on which the plaintiff alleges exposure.
