ST. LOUIS –– A settlement agreement has been reached with the remaining defendants in a Missouri benzene action –– including Sherwin Williams, Chevron and Shell Chemical –– according to a recent notice of settlement.
The notice of settlement, filed Jan. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, also noted that the plaintiffs are finalizing dismissal documents with regards to Homax Products and WD-40 Manufacturing Company.
The claims were filed on behalf of Franklin Linton Jr., whose acute myelogenous leukemia was allegedly caused by exposure to benzene-containing products. Linton was employed in a variety of positions, …
