Benzene Plaintiff in Camp Lejeune MDL Moves to Amend Complaint with Renal Kidney Cancer Claim

ATLANTA –– A plaintiff with claims pending in the Camp Lejeune drinking water contamination MDL has moved to amend his complaint, saying that he was recently diagnosed with renal kidney cancer.

According to the Jan. 22 motion, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, where the MDL is docketed, the plaintiff would also like to amend the amount of damages sought.

“Plaintiff respectfully request paragraph 11 be amended to read $10,000,000.00 vice $5,000,000.00,” the motion states. “Also, plaintiff respectfully requests that in the event of plaintiff’s death prior to the conclusion of [the case], this …
