ST. LOUIS –– A benzene defendant has withdrawn its recent motion to compel discovery from plaintiffs in a benzene case, according to a one-page motion filed recently in Missouri federal court.

The Dec. 20 motion, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, did not give a reason for the withdrawal of Steco Corp.’s original motion, which had contended that the plaintiffs were wrongfully objecting to the defendant’s interrogatories and requests for production.
