Steco Moves to Compel Discovery from Benzene Plaintiffs in Missouri

ST. LOUIS –– A benzene defendant has moved to compel discovery from plaintiffs in a benzene case after the plaintiffs objected to the defendant’s interrogatory and requests for production.

In the Dec. 3 motion, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, defendant Steco says that the information it seeks is sufficiently limited to an appropriate time frame and specifically applies to the asserted claims.

The claims were filed on behalf of Franklin Linton Jr., whose acute myelogenous leukemia was allegedly caused by exposure to benzene-containing products. Linton was employed in a variety of positions, …
