Pennsylvania Federal Court Schedules Settlement Conference in Benzene Case

PITTSBURGH –– A Pennsylvania federal court has scheduled a settlement conference for January 14 in a case involving benzene claims of a former machine operator.
The settlement conference was noted in a Nov. 25 online docket entry. Judge Mark R. Hornak will oversee the conference, according to the entry.
The underlying claims, asserted by Ruben and Mariana Grigoryants, allege that Ruben Grigoryants was exposed to benzene-containing products while working as a machine operator at Erie Specialty Products. During the course of his employment, Grigoryants was required to wash machine parts with solvents, specifically Safety-Kleen 105 solvent.
