PHILADELPHIA –– Parties in a Philadelphia benzene case have exchanged a number of in limine motions, with the plaintiffs seeking the exclusion of a number of items, including the testimony of Dr. Gregory Sarna.

While trial was scheduled to begin in the matter on Dec. 2, the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County recently cancelled that setting and indicated its intent to reschedule the proceedings.

Plaintiffs John and Jacquelyn Coen say that John Coen’s work at a number of refineries exposed him to benzene-containing products, ultimately leading him to develop lymphoma. The case has been pending in …
