Missouri Benzene Plaintiffs File Stipulations of Dismissal as Owens-Illinois, Wyeth, Others

ST. LOUIS –– Plaintiffs in benzene litigation in Missouri have filed stipulation of dismissals as to claims asserted against Owens-Illinois, Owens-Brockway Glass Container Inc., Reckitt Benckiser and Wyeth LLC, according to recent court documents.

In the Oct. 24 and 31 stipulations of dismissal filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the plaintiffs dismissed the claims with prejudice.

The claims were filed on behalf of Franklin Linton Jr., whose acute myelogenous leukemia was allegedly caused by exposure to benzene-containing products. Linton was employed in a variety of positions, including as a mechanic and plant manager …
