South Carolina Court Schedules July 2014 Trial in Non-Hodgkin’s Benzene Case

COLUMBIA, S.C. –– A South Carolina federal judge has scheduled a July 2014 trial in a case brought by a former mechanic who claims that his exposure to benzene caused him to develop non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

In a Sept. 27 scheduling order, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina additionally ordered the plaintiffs to file and serve expert witness disclosures by Dec. 18, while the defendants have until Jan. 17.

Discovery is to be completed by Feb. 17, according to the order.
