Benzene Defendants Appeal Forum Decision Allowing Alabama Man’s Claims to Remain in Pennsylvania

PHILADELPHIA –– Benzene parties involved in a forum dispute have filed briefs in a Pennsylvania appellate court, with the defendants contending that the trial court erred by denying their forum non conveniens motion given that the plaintiffs have “no” connection to the state.

In an Oct. 4 answer filed in the Pennsylvania Superior Court, however, the plaintiffs backed the trial court’s decision, saying that the defendants have failed to show that maintaining venue in the state will be oppressive and vexatious.
