Louisiana Court Grants Motion for More Definite Statement, Asks Benzene Plaintiffs to Amend Complaint

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has granted a defense motion for a more definite statements, asking the plaintiffs to clarify their complaint with the “who, what, when, where, why and how” of each defendant’s wrongdoings.

In an order filed Sept. 13, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana said that the plaintiffs’ lawsuit “does not give Defendants adequate notice of the circumstances leading to [the] claim.”
