Minn. Court Refuses to Reconsider Determination that Insurer Must Contribute to Defense Against Benzene Claims

MINNEAPOLIS –– A federal court has declined to reconsider a decision issued earlier this year in which it found that Continental Casualty Co. was owed contribution by another of benzene defendant Valspar’s insurers, National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa.

In the Aug. 9 decision, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota rejected efforts by Continental to have the court reconsider the amount of contribution to which it is entitled.
