Parties Agree to Dismiss Penray Companies from Pennsylvania Benzene Suit

PHILADELPHIA –– The parties involved in a Philadelphia benzene lawsuit asserted by a former mechanic have agreed to dismiss The Penray Companies, according to a stipulation recently filed with the court.

According to the July 1 stipulation of dismissal filed in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County, the plaintiffs withdrew their claims against the company, which, according to its website, manufactures liquids and aerosol products in the “heavy-duty and automotive chemical industry.”

The plaintiffs contend in their complaint that Donald Berk’s work as a mechanic for nearly 50 years required him to work with benzene-containing products. As …
