5th Circuit Notes Briefing Complete in Benzene Dispute; Cancels Reply Brief Deadline

NEW ORLEANS –– Briefing has been completed in the appeal of dismissed benzene claims, with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit noting recently on its online docket that no reply brief will be filed in the matter.

According to the July 3 entry, briefing is complete and the reply brief deadline was canceled. International Paint filed its opposition last month, in which it supported the District Court’s decision to dismiss the claims on grounds that the plaintiffs’ expert testimony was inadmissible.
