Defendants Continue to Attack Benzene Pleading, Move to Dismiss Third Amended Complaint

ST. LOUIS –– Four benzene defendants –– including Sherwin-Williams Co. (NYSE:SHW) and WD-40 Co. (NASDAQ:WDFC) –– have filed motions to dismiss a third amended complaint, which the plaintiffs were recently permitted to file after they assured the court that the pleading would cure any product identification deficiencies.

In separate motions to dismiss filed June 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Sherwin-Williams, WD-40, Chemetall US Inc., and Homax Products Inc. argue that the plaintiffs still have not sufficiently identified any specific product manufactured by the defendants.
