COLUMBIA, S.C. –– A South Carolina federal court has ordered benzene plaintiffs to respond to supplemental interrogatories and requests for product of documents from defendant Winzer Corp. within 15 days.

In the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina issued the one-page order on May 29, granting a motion to compel filed by the benzene defendant who maintained that it had tried to resolve the discovery dispute “through repeated amiable discourse with the Plaintiff’s lawyers.”

The underlying claims were brought on behalf of Philip Boykin, who worked as a motorcycle mechanic and technician for nearly 30 years. During …
