Benzene Plaintiffs Reassert Motion to Compel Discovery Responses, Seek Sanctions

PHILADELPHIA –– Plaintiffs in a Pennsylvania benzene action have reasserted their motion to compel discovery from Valero Refining and Marketing Co. and Pemcor USA Inc., saying the defendants continue to object to relevant discovery requests.

In separate May 22 motions filed in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County, the plaintiffs ask the court to not only issue an order compelling the defendants’ responses, but also to issue sanctions for the “woefully deficient” responses.
