Puerto Rico Court Warns Benzene Parties to Submit Pretrial Schedule or Face Sanctions

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico –– A Puerto Rico federal court has issued an order asking the parties in a benzene case to submit a joint proposed pretrial schedule by May 7 or face sanctions, noting that no extensions will be granted.

In the same April 26 order, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico additionally asked the plaintiffs to show why their claims against defendant Took Box, Inc. should not be dismissed, as the “plaintiffs have failed to submit proof that Tool Box Inc. was served.”
