Benzene Plaintiffs: Texaco Hasn’t Shown Why Expert Disclosure Deadlines Should be ‘Accelerated’

NEW ORLEANS –– Plaintiffs in a benzene case have opposed efforts by Texaco Downstream Properties Inc. to compel the identity of experts the plaintiffs plan to use in support of their claims, arguing that the defendant has not answered discovery requests needed in order to retain those experts.

In the April 26 response filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the plaintiffs say the defendant’s motion “seeks to alter Plaintiffs’ obligation to produce expert disclosures, without good cause.”
