Texaco Downstream Properties Asks Court to Compel Benzene Plaintiffs to Identify Testifying Experts

NEW ORLEANS –– Texaco Downstream Properties Inc. has filed a motion to compel an interrogatory answer that would identify experts the plaintiff has retained to support their benzene claims.

On April 22, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana granted a motion to expedite a hearing on the motion, scheduling oral arguments on the matter for May 1.

In the underlying complaint, the plaintiffs contend that Chris Cologne developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after being exposed to benzene-containing products during his employment at Texaco and Brown & Root.
