Louisiana Federal Court Pushes Back Date for Bench Trial in Benzene Case to August

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has granted a consent motion to continue a bench trial, noting that all previous deadlines in the court’s scheduling order will remain unchanged.

On April 16, the plaintiffs filed a consent motion with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, noting that the defendants did not oppose the continuance of the trial date to either July or August.

The court’s order stipulated that trial will begin on Aug. 5. A pre-trial conference will take place July 18.
