JERSEY CITY, N.J. –– A New Jersey state court has denied post-trial motions filed by a plaintiff whose benzene claims were rejected two months ago by a unanimous jury, sources told HarrisMartin.

Plaintiff Stephan Petty’s post-trial motions were denied on March 22, more than one month after New Jersey Superior Court for Hudson County jurors reached a defense verdict, at which time they found that Petty’s multiple myeloma was not caused by the negligence of his employer, the Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corp. (PATH).
