Benzene Plaintiffs Whose Claims Were Recently Dismissed File Notice of Appeal to 5th Circuit

NEW ORLEANS –– Louisiana benzene plaintiffs have notified a federal court of their intent to appeal the court’s decision dismissing their claims to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, according to a notice of appeal.

In the March 18 notice of appeal filed with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the plaintiffs specifically contest the court order excluding the testimony of Dr. Bhaskar Kura and granting the defendant’s motion for summary judgment on the Louisiana Product Liability Act claims.
