Benzene Plaintiffs in Louisiana Move to Strike 66 Defense Witnesses

NEW ORLEANS –– Benzene plaintiffs in Louisiana have filed a motion to strike 66 defense witnesses, claiming in part that the defendants have failed to disclose the subject matter on which the witnesses will testify.
In the Feb. 11 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the plaintiffs specifically contest the inclusion of 28 fact witnesses and 38 medical witnesses in the defendants’ witness list, saying that those parties were not identified in the defendant’s original Rule 26 disclosures.
