Louisiana Court Grants in Part Motion to Strike Defense Witnesses

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has stricken the testimony of four defense witnesses, but ruled that testimony from six other witnesses can proceed since there is time for the plaintiffs to depose them before an Oct. 22 trial.
In the Sept. 21 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana extended the discovery deadline so that the plaintiffs could conduct the depositions of witnesses they claimed were not properly disclosed by International Paint and Valspar (NYSE:VAL).
