PHILADELPHIA –– Two defendants in a benzene case have asked the court to bar plaintiffs’ expert testimony, asserting in part that the plaintiffs’ industrial hygienist did not properly calculate exposure to products manufactured and distributed by the defendants.
In the Aug. 20 motion filed in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County, manufacturer defendant CRC Industries and distributor defendant The Pep Boys additionally argue that the same expert “guesses” at the decedent’s alleged exposure and “fabricated number of exposure ‘event’s involving unidentified CRC products.”
