BOSTON –– Two more defendants have been voluntarily dismissed from a Massachusetts benzene case, one of which had recently challenged the claims on causation grounds.
On Aug. 6 and 16, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts entered an electronic order granting the motions of CRC Industries and Steco Corp.
In their 2007 complaint, the Milwards allege that Brian Milward's work as a refrigeration technician exposed him to benzene-containing products. They assert that as a result of Milward's exposure to solvents, naptha, toluene, xylene, benzene and the benzene-containing product Liquid Wrench, he contracted acute promyelocytic leukemia.
