Widow of Former Aluminum Worker Files Benzene Complaint in Federal Court

NEW ORLEANS -- The widow of a former employee of an aluminum manufacturer has filed a benzene complaint in Louisiana federal court, contending that her husband was exposed to "large amounts of benzene" while working at the facility. Millet, et al., v. Employers Insurance Company of Wausau, et al., No. 12-260 (E.D. La.).

The Jan. 26 complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, names Radiator Specialty, U.S. Steel Corp., and several insurers of the decedent's former employer, Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp.
