Shell Backs Motion to Reconsider, Maintains that Benzene Survival Action is Untimely

NEW ORLEANS -- Shell defendants involved in a benzene case have backed their motion to reconsider a recent ruling that dismissed some claims, but allowed others pending against the defendant's executive officers to proceed. Frank v. Shell Oil Co., No. 11-871 (E.D. La.).

On Dec. 12, the defendants filed a reply brief with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, arguing that the plaintiffs misstate the law when opposing the motion for reconsideration.
