Chevron Allowed to Supplement Witness List for Upcoming Trial

NEW ORLEANS -- Chevron U.S.A. Inc. will be permitted to amend its witness list in a benzene case scheduled to begin trial in February, a Louisiana federal court recently ruled. Morin, et al. v. Chevron U.S.A. Inc., et al., No. 11-0045 (E.D. La.).

In the Jan. 9 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana declined to rule on a pending motion to continue that trial date, saying that it will consider the merits of delaying trial at an upcoming status conference.
