Nev. Jury Awards $7.5 Million in Benzene Gasoline Case

LAS VEGAS -- A Nevada state court jury has awarded $7.5 million to a plaintiff who claimed that he developed myelodysplastic syndrome as a result of exposure to benzene in gasoline, HarrisMartin is reporting. Lewis, et al. v. Rebel Oil Co., et al., No. A566869 (Nev. Dist. Ct., Clark Cty.).
The verdict was reached Oct. 10 by the Nevada District Court for Clark County jury and was entered against lone remaining defendant Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP, sources said.
