ATLANTA -- The court appointed to oversee the pretrial proceedings in claims relating to exposure to benzene at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, has held its first status conference, according to the court's online docket. In re: Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Water Contamination Litigation, MDL No. 2218 (N.D. Ga.).
The conference, held April 19 before Judge J. Owen Forrester of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, lasted less than an hour, according to the minute sheet.
