Remaining Parties Reach Settlement Agreement in Texas Benzene Case

BEAUMONT, Texas -- According to a Nov. 9 order, the parties remaining in a benzene exposure case have reached a settlement agreement and have been directed to file closing papers by Dec. 10. McClurg, et al. v. Ingram Barge Co., et al., No. 09-504 (E.D. Texas).

Just one day later, a joint motion for dismissal with prejudice was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas with regards to defendants Ashland Inc., Atlantic Richfield Co., BP Products North America Inc., BP Corp.
