SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - A lawsuit containing allegations that benzene exposure caused transitional cell carcinoma of the kidney has been resolved, according to a May 15 informative motion regarding settlement. Covas, et al. v. Texaco Puerto Rico Inc., et al., No. 06-1867 (D. Puerto Rico).

The motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico noted that the parties agreed to the dismissal with prejudice on May 6. The plaintiff was to have submitted Rule 26 expert reports on May 7, the motion noted.
