Jury Finds for 3M at Conclusion of Benzene Trial

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- An Illinois jury has reached a defense verdict in favor of 3M Co., at the conclusion of a benzene trial, sources have confirmed to HarrisMartin Publishing. Kleinaitis v. 3M Co., No. 05-L-1050 (Ill. 3rd Jud. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).
A jury for the Illinois 3rd Judicial Circuit Court for Madison County reached the verdict on Aug. 29 after a two-week trial before Chief Judge Ann Callis, sources said.
The lawsuit was asserted by Veto Kleinaitis, whose work as an aircraft mechanic allegedly exposed him to trace benzene in 3M's products, sources told HarrisMartin. The plaintiff claimed …
