LOS ANGELES -- A California judge has rejected defense challenges to three plaintiff experts, ruling in the case of one expert that he did not have quantify exposure to benzene using a dose/exposure model to establish a causal relationship. Sundquist, et al. v. BP West Coast, et al., No. BC362023 (Calif. Super Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
In a July 22 ruling, the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County denied the defendants' joint motion to exclude the testimony of Roger Wabeke, CIH; Robert Harrison, M.D., occupational medicine; and Brian Durie, hematology and oncology.
