LINCOLN, Neb. -- Plaintiffs in three separate benzene actions have filed motions to dismiss the last defendant remaining in the cases with prejudice, according to recently field court documents. Hauptmeier, et al. v. Barton Solvents, et al., No. 08-00187; Peet v. Barton Solvents, et al., No. 09-03021; Vondra, et al. v. Barton Solvents Inc., et al., No. 07-85 (D. Neb.).

On Sept. 10, the plaintiffs filed a series of motions in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska stipulating to the dismissal with prejudice as to defendant Barton Solvents, saying that the cases had been settled.
