Texas Judge Extends Deadline for Specific Causation Expert Reports

HOUSTON -- A Texas federal judge has rejected defense objections to a modification in expert report deadlines, allowing benzene plaintiffs until April 1 to file expert reports for specific causation experts, according to a recent order. Davis, et al. v. Shell Oil Co., et al., No. 09-384 (S.D. Texas).
According to a Feb. 10 order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, discovery is now on schedule to be completed in the benzene case by July 19.
