CINCINNATI -- An Ohio federal court has found the general causation opinions of James Dahlgren, M.D., inadmissible, concluding that the plaintiffs' expert failed to cite any epidemiological studies that would support a causal link between the plaintiffs' injuries and benzene exposure. Baker, et al. v. Chevron USA Inc., et al., No. 05-227 (S.D. Ohio).
In the Jan. 6 opinion and order, the U.S. District Court for the District of Western District of Ohio further found that without Dahlgren's testimony, the claims of the plaintiffs fail and the court ordered that they be dismissed with prejudice.
