NEW ORLEANS -- A former mechanic and drill pipe inspector has blamed his development of multiple myeloma syndrome on exposure to benzene-containing products he used, according to a recently-filed complaint. Wagoner, et al. v. ExxonMobil Corp., et al., No. 09-07257 (E.D. La.).
The complaint was filed Nov. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana by James Wagoner Jr. and Macie J. Wagoner. The plaintiffs allege that James Wagoner was exposed to benzene in a number of settings, beginning in the 1970s and continuing through 2008.
