Ky. Defendant Objects to Plaintiffs' Preliminary Disclosures in Benzene Case

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- A benzene defendant has objected to the plaintiffs' preliminary disclosures, arguing that they failed to respond to certain requests that are fundamental to their lawsuit. Watkins, et al. v. Safety-Kleen Systems Inc., et al., No. 08-224 (E.D. Ky.).
In its Oct. 16 memorandum, the Dillon Supply Co. said that the plaintiffs' failure to properly respond impedes its ability to defend itself against the claims.
The underlying claims were asserted on behalf of Gary Watkins, who allegedly developed brain damage after exposure to solvents and other chemicals while working as a helicopter mechanic.
