HOUSTON -- Plaintiffs in a kidney cancer benzene case have filed an unopposed motion for an additional period of time in which they can designate expert witnesses and file expert reports. Davis, et al. v. Shell Oil Co., et al., No. 09-384 (S.D. Texas).
In the Oct. 23 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the plaintiffs cite another benzene case as the reason the extension is being requested.
The underlying suit was brought on behalf of William Gary Davis, who allegedly was exposed to benzene during his employment with Shell Offshore. Davis …
