HOUSTON -- A plaintiff in a benzene case has amended his motion to compel discovery and for sanctions, saying that Texas law does not allow a company to "deliberately stonewall a plaintiff with incomplete and inaccurate document production." Brown v. Shell Oil Co., et al., No. 08-413 (S.D. Texas).

In a Sept. 28 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the plaintiffs accuse the defendants of hiding evidence and documents, specifically contending that the Shell defendants have kept information regarding the chemical make-up of the products to which the plaintiff claims he was exposed. …
