Texas High Court Denies Efforts to Revisit Reversal of $7.5 Million Award

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Supreme Court has opted not to revisit its decision that reversed a $7.5 million verdict in a benzene case in which it found that the testimony of plaintiff experts linking acute lymphoblastic leukemia to benzene exposure was conclusory and not supported by sufficient evidence. The City of San Antonio v. Pollock, et al., No. 04-1118 (Texas Sup. Ct.).

According to an online docket entry, a plaintiff motion for rehearing was denied on June 26 by the high court.
